Why do for instance twin studies of twins who are separated at birth virtually always that both are gay or straight? Clearly homosexuality is genetic and/or developmental, so it must be god’s creation? How can his own work be sinful, evil, and against his will?

Right. Because social circumstances during adolescence typically result in all the synaptic connections in the cerebral cortex being severed, rearranged, and then reconnected in order to alter a person’s sexual orientation.

I hate nobody. Some people make strong statement to show how much they don’t hate, but deep down they really do. Listen to these coded messages often heard from those insisting that they don’t really hate gays and lesbians.
LOVE THE SINNER, HATE THE SIN: That’s just coded language for I still hate you. If you truly love the sinner, you will accept him/her regardless of that individual’s characteristics or behavior. Read that parable in Matthew 7 about the complaining about your neighbor’s splinter while ignoring the timber you have in your eye.
I HATE SIN: No, if you want someone to change you really hate the sinner. Homosexuality between consenting adults is a victimless activity that has no bearing on you. Love is unconditional.
I DISAGREE WITH THEIR CHOSEN LIFESTYLE: First, being gay is not a lifestyle and, second, it isn’t chosen. Fine, it’s not your cup of tea. Nobody is asking you to be gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender.
HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN: No it is not. Jesus never spoke to the concept of sexual orientation or homosexuality. As Christians like to remind atheists, Jesus came to replace the Old Testament laws with a new covenant. When he threw out all those laws in Leviticus regarding the consumption of shrimp and wearing cotton-poly blends, he also did away with that little bit about man lying with man (which was a mistranslation to being with).

It has nothing to do with genetics, that’s the biggest deception from Satan. It’s a unclean spirit sent from Satan that enters into the individual and makes them have feelings and emotions that are contrary what God says in His Word and what He has established. That spirit has to be cast out of the individual for them to be set free, or delivered. Remember, whatever God establishes, Satan takes it and does the opposite.

I would ask you for the names of the twin studies so that I could check them out. From all that I have read, heard, and seen, homosexuality develops from abuse to young children. It is a psychological reaction to the abuse and the victim usually gravitates towards members of the sex opposite to the one who abused them. This reaction also leads sometimes to men or women becoming extremely sexual in all of their relationships for their outlook on members of the opposite sex are corrupted via the abuse experienced. Women abused by their fathers will either seek out older men searching for a protective father-figure while becoming hypersexual in their drives, or they will seek out sexual attachments with other women, forsaking the "abusive sex" of their father. The same goes for men who have been abused. The dynamic gets hardwired pychologically and is acted out sexually. Sinful behavior perpetrated upon innocent children causes destructive behavior later on in the children as they cannot cope with what was done to them by those whom they trusted. God produced nothing that is evil or sinful or that is against His will. Clearly homosexuality is sinful, and it is caused by previous sinful behavior acted out upon defenseless children. Why not work towards resolving those issues and actually protect innocent children in the future?

This sounds like a Urban myth about homosexuality, there are no genetic, biological or congenital links.
Homosexuality is nurtured consciously, sub-consciously and is influenced by environment.
If homosexuals are born that way, then it will then be fair to say that criminals and murders are born that way too. All cause harm.
It’s not evil. A few hundred years ago, Europe developed homophobia. When they began to translate the Bibles into the vernacular languages, the translators included their newfound bigotry. Here’s what you will find if you read the Bible in the original Hebrew and Greek:
The Hebrew text of the OT never condemns homosexuality, never connects Sodom and Gomorrah to homosexuality, never uses the word sodomite, but does record same-sex marriage.
The Greek text of the NT never condemns homosexuality, but does condemn people trying to change their sexuality to meet the expectations of others. (Which coincidentally is exactly what some Christians today are trying to get gay people to do.)
Edit: Either of lot of the anti-gay folks on here are seriously misinformed about human sexuality and the studies done, or they are out and out lying. Either way, not good. It’s not a choice, not a disorder, not a sin.
If you lived in a society that said homosexuality was normal and healthy and all the available sex books/guides were of guys would you still be straight or would you be gay? You would be gay because society would teach you that to be gay is normal, you would consider it the normal way of life, regardless of your instincts!
If the society you lived in said there was no God and everybody believed it and there were no books or artefacts concerning religion would you believe in God? No, you would continue to live blissfully unaware of God’s existence!
To be homosexual is not God’s will, there is no Biblical justification for being homosexual even though it’s possible for a person to be born attracted to the same sex. But if society as a whole were family orientated (male and female with children), there was not a shred of literature or anything hinting of a homosexual lifestyle and media wasn’t pushing sex and lustful desires you would find that the person wouldn’t enter a gay lifestyle but would be straight.
There is nothing even close to definitive evidence showing any genetic connection to homosexuality. In fact, homosexuality has been added and removed to the mental disorder list a few times. Studies are done but not enough time and research has been done to have any substantial theory on the subject.
Ok, this to those who say being gay must be a choice, not genetic:
You do know that love is all about chemicals in the brain right? As far as I know, a bunch of chemicals aren’t gonna care if they are making you love a man or a woman. So is it really so hard to believe that someone could love a member of the same sex, even if its not what they would have chosen?

I’m not religious, but even if you could somehow, in your wildest dreams, convinced me that God and Satan really did exist, there is absolutely no way you could convince me that the supreme ruler of evil would be wasting his time making people feel attracted by the same sex when he could be causing true evil, i.e. war, disease, rape, murder etc.

WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? So a man loves a man (or a woman, a woman ofc). Who cares? Is he hurting anyone by loving another man? No. Is it anyone else’s business who he loves? No. Is it your place to judge? HELL NO. So why not leave them alone?
Also, if it turned out that God was real (sorry, but I don’t think I’ll ever be convinced), then it would be his place to judge, not yours, nor anyone else’s.
If God had created homosexuality, why would He have been so adamant against it? People were once stoned for being gay! Maybe we don’t go to that extreme today, but that doesn’t make homosexuality any less of a sin. It defeats God’s plan for us and goes against everything else that God has taught us. I don’t know if you’re Christian, but it’s pretty much in black and white in the Bible.
Nor do I believe it’s genetic. That’s silly, because wouldn’t that mean that only those with gay ancestors or parents could be gay? That’s obviously not the case. And though you claim that some twins, even separated twins, end up having the same orientation, that’s also not as common as you would like it to seem. You really should give a source for those studies, as well.
Anything imperfect is against God’s will, but that doesn’t mean that there is something wrong with the person. Their spirit and soul can be very pure and that’s all that matters. God creates what we basically are, but it doesn’t mean that all of it turns out right.

God clearly says homosexuality is an abomination. So, naturally it is against His will. And, it does NOT have congenital or genetic components.
Douglas A. Abbott, Ph.D, who is a professor of Child, Youth, and Family Studies @ the University of Nebraska undertook an extensive review of studies regarding the genetics of homosexuality. (Title: Myths and Misconceptions About Behavioral Genetics and Homosexuality, July 2007).
He concluded: "…the genetic evidence for homosexuality is just not there. It’s the values and politics of homosexuals and their supporters that is driving the gay gene agenda, not good science."
